History of the Noho lofts building

HistoryThe NOHO Lofts building has a rather storied history.  Built in the 1950's along the Chandler Railway, the building started its industrial identity as the world headquarters for Adolf's Meat Tenderizer products.   Eventually the railway closed down, and the Adolf's brand downsized out of the area.  By the 1980's the property was functioning as a makeshift, office, and production facility.  Its proximity to the entertainment studios made it ideal for set building and pre and post production companies.  This status held its own for the owners through the 1990's even though North Hollywood was desperate for a revitalization.  When the DT Group bought the building in 2003 the rebuilding of North Hollywood and the branding of "NOHO Arts District" was in its infancy stages but was getting traction through several few planned projects, the arrival of the Red Line Metro Station, strong housing demand, and a resurgence of the adaptive reuse development platform.   It was through this platform that the idea of Live Work Lofts was born.  The DT Group spent 4 years working with the city and over $23 million dollars later developed 68 distinctly unique live-work units. The building has a great creative vibe , housing many creative businesses and residents. HistoryToday the local market has shaped itself perfectly by consumer demands of wanting to have flexibility with their live-work place, proximity to major services and transportation, and the benefits of ownership!  We invite you to come and see what the NOHO Lofts has to offer in ownership!
